2524064 - Display Description Fields in OData

Symptom

You want to display the description for extension fields in a Custom OData Service, but only IDs are displayed.

Cause

There is a functionality named "Include Code Descriptions" which can be enabled for custom OData Services. This will allow the display of descriptions in the OData.

Resolution

To enable the functionality "Include Code Descriptions", please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Administrator work center and access the view OData Service Explorer;
  2. Change the view to Custom OData Services;
  3. Select the desired OData service and select it, then click on Edit;
  4. Check the box for "Include Code Descriptions" and then click on Save.
