Symptom
When applying for a job and creating a profile, the job agent matching this job is not automatically created on the profile creation page.
Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Marketing
Reproducing the Issue
- Candidate applies for a job on the RMK site
- Candidate is brought to the profile creation page
- At the bottom of the page, the job agent section is not populated with the corresponding agent based on the job parameters (title and location)
Expected behaviour:
Encountered behaviour:
Cause
The job the candidate applied for contains forward slashes in the title.
The agent creation validation on the profile follows the keyword search validation.
Since slashes are not valid search terms on the main RMK search, they are not accepted in the agent creation either and this stops the agent from being created.
Resolution
To ensure Job Agents are always automatically created, forward slashes should not be included in the title of the jobs.
Note that Job agents can also be created manually or based on search terms or category page rules and in these cases the issue will not arise.
