2525323 - java.lang.NoSuchMethodError:com. sap.engine.session.telnet.DBMonitoring.setPersistentModel: SAP startup issue

The SAP Application Server JAVA startup fails due to the server node aborting with java.lang.NoSuchMethodError exceptions and similar error as below is logged in the trace files (std_server<x>, dev_server etc). Also during an SUM based upgrade, the Application Server JAVA startup can fail with the below error:
