When you open a story with dynamic time variance defined, the following error occurs in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC):

Calculation Errors

Unable to retrieve data from the datasource.

Variance on time does not support having a story/page/group filter defined on the Time dimension.

A limitation exists if you have a story level (story/page/group) filter defined with the time dimension.

This limitation can affect results of dynamic time calculations and time based variances.

The following warning may be seen:

Time calculations do not include values outside of the data filter on the Time dimension: - <Calculation Name>
