2526126 - Item remains in the user's Learning Plan after recording a completion event for it

The item remains in the user's assigned items list even after recording a completion for it. The item can be seen in the user's Learning History, but it's still in the Learning Plan and there was no new assignment.

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

1. Log into HCM > navigate to Learning Administration >
2. Assign any item to a user with the Assigned Date as today >
3. Now record a completion for it, by any action you prefer (Learning Administration > Manage User Learning > 'Add Learning History with Finance' or 'Add to Learning History for Multiple Courses'; or via the import Data tool; or through the Learning History Connector; etc.) >
4. Ensure that the Completion Date selected while recording learning is in the past and at least a day before of the item's Assigned Date.

In this situation, the item remaining in the user's Learning Plan it's the system's expected behavior. It happens because the item's Assigned Date is in the future compared to the Completion Date, by more than 24 hours / 1 day.

Note:

• At Learning Administration > System Administration > Configuration > Global Application Settings, if the setting "Grant Credit for events completed the day before assignment date" is enabled, the system will consider completions of past 24 hours before assignment date.
• This settings handles time zones differences of datacenter and actual time of recording, as some countries are ahead.

When recording a completion, ensure the Completion Date is always after the item's Assigned Date to avoid such issue.

To adjust the assignment / completion entries after the completion has been recorded, please check the possible options at the KBA 2565268 > 'Resolution' section.
