2526441 - "Posting Date must be before dd.mm.yyyy" Error Message When Trying to Post or Simulate Manual Posting - Complete Transfer of Individual Material - SAP Business ByDesign

• During a Manual Posting - Complete Transfer of Individual Material for Fixed Asset XYZ (XYZ represents the Fixed Asset ID) an error message is thrown:
• 'Posting Date must be before dd.mm.yyyy'. (dd.mm.yyyy represents the posting date).

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Fixed Assets work center.
2. Go to Fixed Asset sub view.
3. Search for Fixed Asset XYZ.
4. Click the Manual Posting button and select Complete Transfer of Individual Material.
5. Maintain a Posting Date, Document Date and Fixed Asset Target ABC (ABC represents the Fixed Asset Target ID).
6. Click Post or Simulate.

 Error message is thrown: 'Posting Date must be before dd.mm.yyyy'.

Fixed Asset ABC has an organizational change posting with posting date on dd.mm.yyyy.

Due to this posting, other new postings with posting date earlier than that are not permitted.

1. Go to Fixed Assets work center.
2. Go to Fixed Assets sub view.
3. Search for Fixed Asset Target ABC.
4. Click Edit and View all.
5. Navigate to Values tab.
6. Navigate to Journal subtab.
7. You find Journal Entry with Transaction Category 'Transfer Due to Organizational Changes'.

• The Complete Transfer Posting of Individual Material must have a posting date after dd.mm.yyy.
• This is the expected system behavior.
