Symptom

Notification e-mail not sent to user when template body is empty

Environment

SAP Successfactors Learning Management System

Resolution

According to the system design notification e-mails will not be sent to User/Supervisor/Instructor/Contacts when the legacy template body is empty

  • Even if the recipient is part of Organization having Org. notification Header and Footer, if the legacy template body is empty then no notification will be triggered
  • Emails however will be sent to User/Supervisor/Instructor/Contacts if the user is part of organization, having header and footer and template body is made empty using the notification editor

Emails will also not be sent when the following entry points are empty: 

  • Learning Activities > Items > search and select and entity > click on Email Notifications tab > edit registration template
  • Learning Activities > Classes > Search and select an entity > click on Email Notifications tab >edit registration template
  • Content > Surveys > Search and select an entity > click on Email Notifications tab > edit Survey Email Notification
