2528086 - Error Message: User not assigned to correct solution strategy

Symptom

On extending a extension field (created using Cloud Application Studio) to an Odata service, the below message while accessing Odata Editor in SDK occurs:

User not assigned to correct solution strategy.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. In Cloud Application Studio, after extending a standard Business Object, click Add New Item.
  2. Choose OData Extension.
  3. Add an OData Extension Name.
  4. Select an OData Service.
  5. Click OK.
  6. The internet browser requests your user name and password, then navigates to Odata Editor.
  7. Error message "User not assigned to correct solution strategy" is displayed.

 

Cause

This error message is displayed because a different Business User without development access user has been used to log into Cloud for Customer.

Resolution

To avoid this error message one must provide the same user credentials that are used on Cloud Application Studio.
