2528513 - WEBGUI File Browser: Error reading file (FES001)

Symptom

ABAP Code is used to upload a file via WEBGUI File Browser.
Instead of the file being loaded, an error message appears. An example:

The Performance Assistant shows: "Error reading file", with Message No. FES001:

Environment

SAP NetWeaver 7.00 and higher, with Unified Rendering WEBGUI, running kernel 7.22 or higher, with the WEBGUI File Browser/virtual file system activated.

The virtual file system is used for the frontend services like download, upload, execute, ...and it is case sensitive.
