Symptom

  • Binary Overlay
  • Upgraded SAP ASE from 16.0.02.01 to 16.0.02.06 installed to a directory with an existing SAP ASE installation.
  • The errors in the ASE_Suite.log:

Status: FATAL ERROR
  Additional Notes: FATAL ERROR - class com.sybase.ia.ia_db.RunComponentInstallerAction FatalInstallException: Command D:\Software_package\ebf26943\archives\sysam_util\Disk1\InstData\setup.exe does not exist.
  Status: ERROR
  Additional Notes: ERROR - while trying to get the length of a null array loaded from a local variable at slot 10
