2528752 - Unable to see old Time Recordings from Employee After Rehire with Reinstatement Enabled

You have rehired an employee with the Reinstatement checkbox enabled. Upon checking the employee Time file, you notice that all the information from the previous year disappeared.

To re-hire the Employee XYZ with Reinstatement enabled:

1. Go to the Personnel Administration work center.
2. Enter the Employees view.
3. On the query dropdown list, select All Employees.
4. Search and select the respective Employee.
5. Click on the Actions button.
6. Click on the Rehire Employee button.
7. Fill the required fields.
8. Under the section Special Conditions, check the option Reinstatement.
9. Click on the Save and Close button.

Note: Ensure that the Hire Date selected is at least one day after the last Termination Date.

To check the Time entries of the Employee:

1. Go to Time Administration workcenter.
2. Enter the Employees view.
3. Search for the Employee and select it.
4. Click on the Edit button.
5. Navigate to the Employee Times tab.

Here you are unable to see the old time recordings.

The Work agreement for the Employee on the first employment period is different from the Work agreement after the rehire process. This happens because the Time agreement is created on the basis of the Work agreement. Since these are different, the Time agreements are also different. Hence the Time files are also different for the Employee XYZ in both the periods.

The system works as expected.

To see the recorded times of the first employment period, you can follow the below steps:

1. Go to Time Administration workcenter.
2. Enter the Employees view.
3. In the query dropdown list, select All Employees.
4. Search for the Employee. The search will return at least two entries.
5. Select the entry with the validity period of the first employment period.

In this entry, you will be able to see the Time Agreement and Employee Times booked on the period of the first employment.

In case you want to record times (for example, vacation days taken between the termination and the rehiring), this can be done in the time file of the terminated employment period.
