2530206 - Error: Incorrect syntax near '/'. while importing data in Hadoop via using sqoop

Symptom

  • When setting up Hadoop cluster and trying to load data from SAP ASE. And then running command

sqoop import-all-tables --verbose --connect jdbc:sybase:Tds:192.168.0.155:4901/PRD --username sapsa --password XXXXXXX --driver com.sybase.jdbc4.jdbc.SybDriver --warehouse-dir /user/sap --hive-database PRD --hive-import --create-hive-table -m 1  

  • Error 102 is generated:

Executing SQL statement: SELECT t.* FROM /1BS/TEST_TABLE AS t WHERE 1=0 

Error: Incorrect syntax near '/'. com.sybase.jdbc4.jdbc.SybSQLException: Incorrect syntax near '/'.
