  • 'JCO_ERROR_ILLEGAL_STATE: JCo server is currently running' error message appears when testing a connection in IDT.
  • The following can be seen in the JCo trace logs:
    Connect to SAP gateway failed
    Connection parameters: PROGID="DF_JCO_ServiceName_IDT" GWHOST=Gateway_host_name GWSERV=Gateway_name
    ERROR       service 'Gateway_name' unknown
    ERROR       service '?' unknown
