Symptom
Candidate source in application and ad hoc reports showing an unknown Job Board
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management
Cause
Job Requisitions are publicly accessible worldwide, which allows external Job Boards to reuse and modify the Job Requisition URL when redirecting candidates to their own platforms.
The jobPipeline URL parameter is designed to capture the source of external portals or Job Boards for reporting purposes. This value is stored in the SuccessFactors system and can later be referenced in the Application section and in Ad Hoc Reports.
For example, the standard Job Requisition URL appears as follows:
A Job Board may take this URL and append an additional parameter, such as jobPipeline, resulting in a modified URL like the following:
The added value (JobBoard) is stored in the SuccessFactors database and is subsequently displayed as the candidate’s source in the Application section and in relevant Ad Hoc Reports.
Resolution
SuccessFactors cannot prevent external Job Boards from modifying publicly available Job Requisition URLs. This behavior is outside of SuccessFactors’ control.
If a customer does not want a specific Job Board to alter the Job Requisition URL or append parameters such as jobPipeline, the customer must address this directly with the Job Board and request that the URL not be modified.
