2531805 - The Project Task/Phase Has Incorrect.Total Duration

After a change in schedule of a Project Task/Phase, the Project Task/Phase total duration is not updated automatically.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Project Management Work Center.
2. Select Projects View.
3. Choose the Project and click on Edit.
4. Select the respective Project Task/Phase and go to Scheduling Tab.
5. Here you see the Duration is incorrect.

While the status of the project is In planning, the system automatically calculates the total duration of the project task/phase.

While status of the project to Started or Released .The total duration will not be calculated automatically. To trigger the system to recalculate the project schedule, click the Schedule button in the Project Plan view

In this case to trigger the system to recalculate the project schedule, follow the below steps:

1. Go to Project Management work center 
2. Go to Projects view and search for respective Project ID ABC
3. Select the Project Plan tab
4. Go to Gantt chart sub tab and click on More(>>) and then Options
5. Select the Schedule tab. This will automatically schedule the Phase duration based on the Task duration.
