2531839 - Error Message : Item type code cannot be changed; project does not have customer

While creating the project stock order of type pick-up and pre-delivery , below error message is encountered :

Item type code cannot be changed; project does not have customer

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Project Management work center.
2. Choose Projects View.
3. Choose Project XYZ (XYZ represents the Project ID).
4. Go to Products view.
5. Choose Product and choose the Create Project Stock Order.
6. New Project Stock Order floorplan opens.
7. Fill in all the required details and choose the Finish button you receive above error message.

The Pick-Up and Pre-Delivery involve customer location hence these scenarios only supported only by the project type : customer projects.

Pick-Up: In this scenario, materials are carried to the site of consumption (Customer Location) by the person responsible for it.

Pre-Delivery: In this scenario, the materials are pre-delivered to the site of consumption (Customer Location).

Hence, Pick-Up and Pre-Delivery can be done only for the Customer project.
