2531939 - Upgrade step Extract CDs content / DVD Mount points error

• During an Software Update Manager (SUM) upgrade of SAP Java system to NW7.5 or higher, you hit an error during the step "Extract CDs content". The details of the error are similar to:

"DVD Mount Points
DVD Type NW_Java
Description NW Java COntent DVD
DVD Subdirectory Status
The following DVD subdirectories are configured for extraction. The status of the extratction is displayed below:
J2EE-CD NW Java CD
J2EE-INST Installation Archive"

• In the phase log available in sdt\log directory you can see the following information:

Sep 1, 2017 6:50:16 AM [Info ]: Checking files with extension SCA in directory D:\usr\sap\SUM\sdt\data\archives.
Sep 1, 2017 6:50:16 AM [Info ]: Checking files with extension SDA in directory D:\usr\sap\SUM\sdt\data\archives.
Sep 1, 2017 6:52:20 AM [Error ]: Label file LABEL.ASC and label index file LABELIDX.ASC not found on mount point D:\usr\sap\SUM\sdt.
Sep 1, 2017 6:52:20 AM [Info ]: Validatable parameter DVDMountPointTable is invalid according to validator DVDMountPointTable.

• The same information can be found on the SWITCH.TRC file located under the sdt\trc directory.

Note that the location of the mount point varies from system to system. On this example it was informed as being in D:\usr\sap\SUM\sdt (wrong location)
