2532477 - Error - The System Could Not Retrieve RSS Feed Item From The URL. Change Your Entry.

You are unable to add a URL to the RSS URL field on the homepage.
The following error message is displayed:

"The system could not retrieve RSS feed item from the URL. Change your entry."

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Log in to the Silverlight Client. 
2. Navigate to the Home Page.
3. Click on the gear icon at the top-right corner.
4. Select Adapt.
5. Choose a role.
6. Click on the gear icon on the News tile.
7. You are navigated to the News Settings.
8. Select RSS and enter a URL.

Result:
The system displays the following error message:
"The system could not retrieve RSS feed item from the URL. Change your entry."

The error occurs because the RSS feed URL entered in the News Tile settings is invalid or not supported.
RSS URLs that require authentication are not supported, resulting in the error message being displayed.

To verify the validity of an RSS feed URL, use an online RSS feed validator (many are available on the web).
Only valid RSS URLs can be successfully added to the News Tile settings.
