2532706 - Live connection to S/4HANA using SAML SSO doesn't work in SAP Analytics Cloud

Saving a connection to Live S/4HANA Cloud Edition using SAML SSO as authentication method never finishes and stay loading.

If you open Chrome Developer tools you can see

XMLHttpRequest cannot load https://aabb44.accounts.ondemand.com/saml2/idp/sso/aabb44.accounts.ondemand.com. No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. Origin 'https://yourcompany.sapbusinessobjects.cloud' is therefore not allowed access.

• SAP Analytics Cloud 2017
• S/4HANA Cloud Edition

During the configuration of the SAML SSO in SAP Analytics Cloud, the checkbox "Identity Provider will also be used for Live Data connections with SAML Single Sign On to S/4HANA Cloud Edition" was not selected.

You need to roll back to the default SAP Analytics Cloud authentication method and configure your custom SAML IdP again.

1. Logon to SAP Analytics Cloud and go to the section System > Administration > Security
2. Edit the configuration and check the radio button: SAP Cloud Identity (default)
3. Save the changes, you will be prompted to convert the users.
4. Log out and clean the cache or use an incognito window for the next steps.
5. Logon to your tenant again, you should be redirected to the default SAP Cloud Identity
6. Repeat the configuration to your custom SAML Provider, the same used by S/4HANA Cloud Edition and check the box: "Identity Provider will also be used for Live Data connections with SAML Single Sign On to S/4HANA Cloud Edition"
7. Save the changes.
