2532858 - Approval Process for Sales Quotes Defined by Sales Units is Not Working

You have defined an approval process for sales quotes to be defined by sales units, but the approval process is not being triggered for some sales units.

 

 

Cloud for Sales

Prerequisite: You set up an approval process for a sales quote that has a condition to be defined by sales unit.

1. Go to the Sales work center.
2. Go to the the Sales Quotes view.
3. Click on New.
4. Enter any account.
5. Enter sales unit ABC-YYY (ABC stands for the name of the sales unit and YYY for the number of the specific unit).
6. Click on Save and Open.
7. Click on Actions and then Submit.

Result: The sales quote status is: Approval not Necessary.

In the sales quote approval process, you used a condition for "matches pattern" of the sales unit. The sales units in your system are of format ABC-YYY, but in your approval process, the string to compare with "matches pattern" is ABC.

In your approval process condition, change the string to compare with "matches pattern" to ABC-YYY* (ABC stands for the name of the sales unit and YYY for the number of the specific unit).
