How to a add a filter to the target population in the grant this role to section of manage permission role settings.

• SAP SuccessFactors Succession & Development

1. Admin Center > Manage Permission Roles;
2. Choose a Role;
3. Scroll down to Section 3: Grant this role to;
4. Click Add;
5. Go to Target Population and check the radio button;
6. Check the radio button beside the dropdown and click the dropdown:

• The custom-filters section of the Succession Data Model can be used to add extra filters.
• Standard Custom Elements are the only type of Fields that can be added. (Custom01-15)
• To add a filter:

1. Download and open the Succession Data Model;
2. Find the custom filters section of the data model:

   3. By default, the fields Division, Department and Location will appear as options:

    4. Add a Standard Element field in between the filter module opening and closing tags.

IMPORTANT: Must be the field id of the standard element, not the label of the field.

    5. Import the Data Model back in and the field will now appear as a filter option.

6. This filter option will also appear in the View User Permission tool as a search option.

Remember: Customers do not have access to Provisioning. To complete tasks in Provisioning, contact an SAP Implementation Partner.
