2533311 - Cannot stop or start SAP system with Menu commands on IBM i

Symptom

You are unable to stop or start an SAP system with Main Menu options on IBM i
The system will stop/start if the instance number is specified instead of *ALL option.

After the failed start, look at the joblog of your session (DSPJOBLOG) and go to the bottom.

You see errors similar to those below...

collectSystemInfo: found central instance DVEBMGS<NN> on host saptst_
but central instance already exists as DVEBMGS<NN> on host saptst_ 

RtvSidCfg:  <SID> system info status is not OK (2).                         
StopAllInstances: Stopping all instances of system <SID> is not possible.  
  
System configuration can not be retrieved.                             
O4STRSTP: Stopping all instances of system <SID> failed.
