Symptom
You cannot do a Product Count for a Product that has zero On-Hand Stock.
Environment

Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the Physical Inventory Work Center.

Select Common Task and then 'New Product Count'.
- Enter the relevant Storage Location ID.
- Enter the relevant Product ID.
- Click the Go button.
- Click the Next button.
- The system throws up the error message: Action not permitted; no product selected.
Cause
Product Count works only if the Product has an On-Hand Quantity that is greater than zero.
Resolution
As a workaround, you can do an Inventory Adjustment for the product that has zero On-Hand Stock.
- Go to the Physical Inventory Work Center.
- Select Common Task and then 'New Inventory Adjustment'.
- Enter the relevant Storage Location ID.
- Enter the relevant Product ID.
- Click the Go button.
- Click the Next button.
- Click Add Row button.
- In step 6, you will not encounter the error message as before and you are now able to do an Inventory Adjustment.
