2535351 - [1708] Unable to Hire via the Add New Employee Wizard

Symptom

We are unable to hire new users through the add new employee wizard, manage pending hire’s wizard or from the drafts section

Once we hit submit, the application just keeps loading

Employee Central – New Hire/Rehire

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Admin Center
  2. Add New Employee
  3. Fill out the relevant sections and click submit (if there is a workflow in place > get the workflow to the last approver step and try to approve)

Cause

This appears to be caused by the "Next Person Id Assigned" counter is Admin Center > Company System and Logo Settings is not incrementing when a new user is hired (or even rehired into a new employment).

Resolution

Engineering are investigating and they have provided a possible workaround -:

1) Go to Admin Centre > Company System and Logo Settings

2) Scroll down to the "Next Person Id Assigned" field

3) Increase the value in the text box by one and click Save Company System Setting

 

NOTE: This may allow you to continue hiring - but for some customers it will get stuck after the value is manually updated > person hired. Engineering are working on a permanent solution.

In the interim we recommend that you open a Support case if the work-around does not work for you or the counter is getting completely stuck and Product Support will work to get the counter unstuck.
