2535415 - ST12 tracing pitfalls - no traces collected

Symptom

  • Clicking the End traces & collect button in ST12 results in no traces collected.
  • You notice a message such as "Trace ended, was still initial"
  • A collected trace in the trace analysis list shows a duration of 0 (zero), and attempting to open the ABAP trace shows a message "No ABAP trace found in trace analysis"
