2535920 - SAP Mobile Platform 3.0 - Agentry generates too much logs for Work Manager and others

Symptom

  • SMP 3.0 or Agentry is ignoring log levels stated in the cockpit
  • While enabling/configuring logs as stated in SAP # 2137792 - How to enable Agentry logging in SAP Mobile Platform (SMP 3.0) the system does not recognize it
  • Instead of logging only error or fatal messages, it also prints/shows informational messages
  • As stated in SAP # 2236215 - SMP log levels too detailed, this note describes that log levels are ignored and apparently this works as designed
  • What is the meaning of configuring log levels if it does not work
  • The log files on the server are full of info messages which are not relevant
