2536130 - Cockpit startup fails with msg "Failed to connect to dataserver engine"

Symptom

  • Starting the ASE Cockpit as a Service on the Windows Platform fails 
      
  • Errors logged:

[ERROR] [asa.ASAEngine] [main] - Failed to connect to dataserver engine. Failed to connect to utility_db
com.sybase.ua.services.asa.ASAEngine$ConnectionFailedException: Failed to connect to utility_db

[FATAL] [asa.ASAInstanceManagerService] [main] - Failed to start database engine java.lang.IllegalStateException: The "cockpit[<url>:4638]" dataserver Engine could not be started
com.sybase.ua.service.AgentServiceException: Failed to start database engine java.lang.IllegalStateException: The "cockpit[<url>:4638]" dataserver Engine could not be started
