2536267 - Stack file is invalid: component '<name>' (stack release = source release, but KEEP not allowed) during S/4HANA 1709 conversion

Symptom

  • During an upgrade/conversion to S/4HANA 1709 on Software Update Manager (SUM), the following error message similar to below can be seen:
Severe error(s) occurred in phase PREP_EXTENSION/EHP_INCLUSION!
Last error code set: Stack file is invalid: component 'BSNAGT' (stack release = source release, but KEEP not allowed) If you put new packages in the download directory, use option 'init' to upload them
  • This particular error message can come up for any of the following components:
BSNAGT 200
EA-HR 608
GBX01HR 600
GBX01HR5 605
SRA004 600
ST-A/PI 01S_731
