2536523 - OBSOLETE - How to implement SAP Notes to enable SAP Solution Manager 7.1 to 7.2 content activation

This KBA has been replaced by KBA 2599354 as of 3 April 2018. After an extended transition period, this KBA (2536523) will finally be taken down on 2 August 2019, together with the core SAP Notes related to this KBA (2536523), namely Note 2324520 and composite Note 2403108 – mentioned later in the text of this KBA.

From 2 August 2019 KBA 2599354 together with Note 2559299 will have to be used instead.

If you have, however, already started working through this KBA (2536523) and you are in the middle of implementing its core Notes 2324520 and 2403108, you must continue working through Notes 2324520 and 2403108. Do not switch to the new KBA (2599354), but complete your content activation setup work using the "old" KBA (2536523) before 2 August 2019.

If you are new to the content activation process i.e you have not started going through this KBA (2536523) and you also have not yet tried to implement any of the SAP Notes contained in KBA 2536523, in particular SAP Notes 2324520 and 2403108, stop reading this KBA (2536523) and switch over to KBA 2599354 now.
