2536649 - Read Timed Out, during sync, check-out/in or release of activity from NWDS

Symptom

One tries one of the following scenarios in the NetWeaver Developer Studio:

  1. Synchronizing a DTR resource from the DTR server (f.e. a file from a DC)
  2. Checking-Out or Checking-In DTR resource
  3. Releasing an activity from the Transport View

 

Usually the error, which is observed in the NWDS, is similar to this exception chain:
