2536831 - System shows Green ATP Even Though Stock is Not Available

The system displays Green Available-To-Promise (ATP) instead of Red for a product in a sales order, even though there is no inventory available in the system.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Sales Orders Work Center.
2. Go to Sales Order View.
3. Select All Orders using drop down.
4. Enter required Order ID and choose Edit.
5. Choose View All and navigate to Items tab.
6. Here for line item with required product, system displays ATP as Green.
7. Now select Stock Overview, check the stock for the product.
8. You see stock is not available for the product.

The system always displays ATP as Green because the Planning Area and relevant Availability Check Scope have not been maintained in the required product master data.

1. Go to Product Data Work Center.
2. Go to Materials view and choose Materials subview.
3. Select All Materials using drop down.
4. Find required Material ID.
5. Select and Edit it.
6. Go to View All and navigate to Availabiilty Confirmation tab. Then you will see there is no Availability Check Scope maintained for a certain Planning Area. 

The system does not check the availability of the stock, which is an expected system behavior. You can maintain required Availability Check Scope from the list for the Planning Area as per your requirement.
