2537375 - SQL701 error reported during DTP load or BW reporting - SAP BW on ASE

Symptom

  •  On SAP BW and Solution Manager systems running on SAP ASE, datloads, DTPs, BW reports fail with ASE Error 701:

    There is not enough procedure cache to run this procedure, trigger, or SQL batch. Retry later, or ask your SA to reconfigure ASE with more procedure cache.
  • A DTP job fails due to this error reported on SM37 log just after an alter table... add partition:

  • ST22 short dump and the corresponding developer / work process trace file may report:

  • SAP BW Correction Collection note (latest version for the corresponding SAP Basis release) is implemented

  • t-code SE38 -> ABAP report RSSYBDBVERSION reports all GREEN lights

  • Increasing the value of ASE configuration parameter "procedure cache size" (per SAP KBA 1933464 and ASE Sizing Chart in the Best Practices Guide SAP Note 1680803) does not help resolve the Error 701 - these errors persist
