2538537 - IDM BW integration - LDAP: error code 49 - Explicit authentication failed

Symptom


You are trying to run the IDM to BW Transfer Data job.

The job fails with the following error in the job log:

  • ToDSADirect.init got exception, returning false. - URL:ldap://<hostname>:<port> java.lang.Throwable: [LDAP: error code 49 - Explicit authentication failed]

Upon checking the DSE.log you can see the following errors:

  • E:[LDAP: error code 49 - Explicit authentication failed]
  • D:Given final block not properly padded
