2538613 - Possible use-cases of report RSO_HCPR_FILL_HCPRX and inconsistencies in table RSOHCPRX

This KBA provides a brief overview about the report RSO_HCPR_FILL_HCPRX, it's possible use-cases and about the table RSOHCPRX.

Table RSOHCPRX is used in BW systems from release 7.5 running on HANA database and contains metadata about CompositeProviders (HCPR), such as the operators used in the infoprovider (like union, inner or left outer join). By default the table is filled with data during the creation and activation of the HCPR, report RSO_HCPR_FILL_HCPRX can be used to initiate the rebuilding of the data in the table manually. The report should not be scheduled regularly but only used in the scenarios mentioned below.

The report needs just one input parameter to be executed: the name of the HCPR(s) or can be executed with an asterisk (*) to recreate the entries in the table for all HCPRs in the system.
