2539310 - HTTP 404 accessing BILP or CMC when Tomcat is configured for SSL after upgrade to 4.2 SP04

Symptom

  • HTTP 404 Page Not Found / webpage cannot be displayed when accessing BI Launchpad (BILP) or CMC (Central Management Console)
  • The same error occurs when accessing Tomcat directly (Either HTTP or HTTPS ports) without /BOE/CMC or /BOE/BI attached to the URL
  • stderr.log shows the following error:

    org.apache.catalina.connector.Connector <init>
    SEVERE: Protocol handler instantiation failed
    java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.apache.coyote.http11.Http11Protocol
    at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:444)
