2540243 - 'File element determination failed' Error Message Is Displayed While Releasing an Ukraine Outgoing Tax Invoice

You have an Ukraine Outgoing Tax Invoice in status 1 - In Preparation and want to release it. Upon clicking Release button, the error message: 'File element determination failed' is thrown.

Remark: this Case Document is restricted for Ukraine Tax Invoice functionality.

1. Go to Tax Management work center.
2. Go to Tax Invoices > Outgoing Tax Invoices view.
3. Select the row of the respective Tax Invoice ID with status 1 - In Preparation that you want to release.
4. Click Release button.

Error message is thrown: 'File element determination failed'.

The file generation issue arises because of missing tax master data. For the concerned UA tax authority, the Tax Number Type 2 - Identification code of the payer according to USRE is missing. This one is required and used for filling the TIN tag in the xml file for the tax invoice.

You should maintain Tax Number Type 2 - Identification code of the payer according to USRE for the respective Ukraine tax authority, as follows:

1. Go to Tax Management work center.
2. Go to Tax Authorities > Tax Authorities view.
3. Select the row of the respective Tax Authority ID and click Edit > Company Tax Arrangements.
4. Click Tax Numbers tab.
5. Click Add Row and enter a Tax Number for Tax Number Type 2 - Identification code of the payer according to USRE.
6. Save your changes.

Thus, you will be able to release the Outgoing Tax Invoice successfully (xml will be generated).
