2541280 - Lumira Designer "Failed to Create Document" Error

Symptom

When connecting Lumira Designer 2.0 to BIP and trying to create a new document on the platform, an error "Failed to Create Document" occurs. You see one of the following errors (or similar) in the error logs:

 

  • com.sap.ip.bi.zen.connectivity.ConnectivityException: Failed to create remote document “<document name>"
  • com.sap.ip.bi.base.service.connection.impl.ConnectionException: No connection factory found for type LUM_1AF88DD9A5BB5B2728EDD494BE03EF52/VELOCITY.
  • java.lang.NullPointerException: while trying to invoke the method com.sap.hilo.service.persistence.IDocumentSink.closeDocumentSink() of a null object loaded from field com.sap.hilo.service.persistence.internal.DocumentManager$SaveWorkflow._sink of an object loaded from local variable 'this'
