2541894 - Timeslice error when querying monCachedProcedures table - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • Concurrent running processes raised timeslice errors in proc_get() routine
  • the process is seen querying monitor table monCachedProcedures
  • the process had last error 701 (in pss->plasterror=701) and it went to sleep holding Spinlock Resource->rprocmgr_spin.
  • sample modules in stacktrace (see attachment for complete stack in errorlog and stack extracted from sybmon):
    • mda_populate_monCachedProcedures
    • mda_exec
    • VTABRemoteAccess::startScan
