Symptom
This article describes the differences between Pre-screening questions and Application specific questions.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management
Resolution
If a question needs to be asked to all candidates, like a regulatory compliance question, then it should be used as one of the Application specific questions rather than a Pre-screening question.
Screening questions are good for job-specific questions as they can be adjusted each time you create a new Job Requisition.
Screening Questions:
- Can be set to be disqualifier questions
- Must be added to each Job Requisition
- Cascading questions are supported
- Can vary by Job Requisition
Application Quesitons:
- Cannot be set as disqualifier questions
- They are configured in the XML template, so questions are presented to all candidates
- Cascading questions are not supported
- Can be designated to only appear internally or externally, or can vary by country of the Job Requisitsion when using the override functionality.
