Symptom
During hot folder import, you might notice some unexpected behavior or errors when the csv file contains the field delimiter character, which in most cases and by default is the semicolon:
csv.fieldseparator=;
- Unexpected behavior: The data is succesfully imported but the values are not properly assigned to the corresponding header field
- Error: You observe errors such as the one below where if the content of the error is investigated, it can be noticed that one of the items in the value line of the csv file is being assigned to the wrong ImpEx header field which doesn't support this value or its type:
,,,,error finding existing item : column='xyz' value='xyz', | column xyz: cannot resolve value 'xyz' for attribute 'xyz';xyz;xyz;;xyz
