How to Save Query in Report Center for future use (Canvas report )?

•  SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
  • Report Center: Report - Canvas

1. Create a new Canvas Report in Report Center 
2. Select Detailed Reporting 
3. Clikc on New Query 
4. Add the fields and save
5. Return to create another Report based on the saved report above >
6. Select new Canvas 
7. Detailed Reporting 
8. Search in the list of query, the query is not found.

The report was saved without exporting the query.

1. Create a New Canvas Report 
2. Select the Query Type  ( Such as Detailed Reporting )
3. Select New 
4. Add fields as desired and save > click on return
5. On the next window > on the top left there are 3 buttons, the button in the middle with up arrow is to export query. Select to export > Name and save the query ( see below screenshot )

To Re-use the same query in another report 

1. Create a New Canvas Report
2. Select the Query Type  - Detailed Reporting
3. In the Query list box > Search for the Query saved earlier (e.g. SF_Test_SAVE_Query)
4. The report will use the same query.

This is useful if you deleted the report, you can still re-use the same query to create the same report. (see below screenshot)
