A Workforce Planning forecast with Age selected in Set Dimensions will not complete its build process.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Workforce Planning
Reproducing the Issue
Create a new forecast in Workforce Planning. Select Age in the Set Dimensions section of the creation interface (other dimensions may also be selected). Save all necessary details and click Build. In about 5-6 hours the user will receive an email saying the build failed.
Cause
The Retirement calclulations in the forecast utilise the standard Age dimension. If it is also selected manually, it eventually conflicts with itself during the build.
Resolution
Do not select the Age dimension. You may instead use the Generation dimension, which is also based on birthdate but does not conflict with Age.
