2544602 - Error "Please Use Not More Than 1 Party of Role Ship-To"

Symptom

The error message 'Please use not more than 1 party of role Ship-To' is triggered during object creation, for example, when creating a follow up document in a Ticket

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

The same issue can happen for several objects, in our example we are looking at Tickets.

  1. Go to the Service work centre.
  2. Go to the Tickets view.
  3. Open the relevant Ticket ABC (ABC represents the Ticket).
  4. Select the Follow Up button.
  5. Select Create Opportunity/Create Sales Quote.
  6. The error message 'Please Use Not More Than 1 Party of Role Ship-To' is triggered.

Cause

Duplicate Ship-to Roles have been added to the Involved Parties facet of the object.

Resolution

  1. Go to the Service work centre.
  2. Go to the Tickets view.
  3. Open Ticket ABC.
  4. Go to the Involved Parties facet.
  5. Select the Edit button.
  6. Delete the Duplicate Ship-To Party Role.
  7. Select the Save button.
  8. The document is now consistent and the issue is now resolved.
