2544721 - sp_sysmon returns error 247 'Arithmetic overflow' on sub-proc sp_sysmon_dcache_sum - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • When running sp_sysmon:
  • Error 247 'Arithmetic overflow' is returned by sub-procedure sp_sysmon_dcache_sum
    Msg 247, Level 16, State 1:
    Server 'ASE',
    Procedure 'sp_sysmon_dcache_sum', Line 669:
    Arithmetic overflow during explicit conversion of NUMERIC value '-2200313300.000000000000' to a INT field .(return status = -6)
  • Other positive or negative values outside of integer range may also be reported.  
  • The negative number means that the value overflowed the counters
