2545446 - Is it possible to add custom scale to Objective-Competency Summary section or Performance-Potential Summary Section?

Custom rating scale values and labels are not displaying in the rating scale dropdown in the Objective-Competency Summary section or the Performance-Potential Summary section of the Performance form.

SAP SuccessFactors Performance Management

1. Create a new rating scale in Admin Center, and define the values and labels;
2. In the Performance Form Template XML, add the custom scale in the Obj-Comp Summary section (or Perf-Pot Summary section):

3. Launch a form.

The expectation is that the values and labels defined in the custom scale will display in the rating drop-down on the Performance form.

However, there are different values/labels displayed.

The Objective-Competency Summary section and the Performance-Potential Summary section rating scales are mapped to the Matrix Grid rating scales.

Currently is not possible to add a custom scale to the Objective-Competency or the Performance-Potential, this sections will user the corresponding Scales from the Matrix Grid Rating scales, however, it is possible to configure the values and labels associated to them following the steps below:

1. Go to Admin Center > Succession > Matrix Grid Rating Scales > select one of the defined scales e.g Competency
2. The rating scale dropdown on the Performance form will display the rating values/labels defined in the Competency Matrix Grid Rating scale:

• It is possible to change the rating scale values and labels on the different Matrix Grid Rating Scales, and add translations for the labels.
• Unlike rating scales configured under the Rating Scale Designer, it is not possible to add descriptions for the ratings in the Matrix Grid Rating Scales.
