2545822 - In Reports Using HTML5 the Navigation Button is Missing to Access Microsoft Excel Add-On

Symptom

When opening a Report in the Silverlight layout the Navigation Button is available, however when you are using the HTML5 layout there is no Navigation Button present on the Report screen.

Reproducing the Issue

Behaviour in Silverlight:

 Navigate Button is available in Silverlight.jpg

As an example let's use the Application and User Management work center:

  1. Click Application and User Management work center.
  2. Click Reports view.
  3. Open any Report.
  4. Locate the Navigate To button.

Behaviour in HTML5:

When using HTML there is no Navigation Button.jpg

  1. Click Application and User Management work center.
  2. Click Reports view.
  3. Open any Report.
  4. The Navigate To button is missing.

Cause

This is an expected behavior. The HTML5 and Silverlight layouts have a slightly different functionality.

Resolution

As an example let's use the Application and User Management work center:

  1. Click Application and User Management work center.
  2. Click the Reports view.
  3. Highlight a Report.
  4. Click the View With button.
  5. Select Microsoft Excel.
