2546081 - SAP Web IDE destination is misinterpreted in ABAP gateway

Symptom

An SAP UI5 application has been developed using Web IDE or Web IDE Full-Stack and it works fine when testing from Web IDE and when deployed to SAP cloud platform. However, when it is deployed to ABAP repository it is generating 404 Not Found errors for OData requests.

This is the code:

var serviceuri = "/<destination pointing to ABAP gateway>/sap/opu/odata/<OData service>";

var oModel = new sap.ui.model.odata.ODataModel(serviceuri, true, "****", "*****")
