2546104 - Database server not found or timeout error - SAP IQ

Symptom

  • Customer applications are experiencing intermittent connection errors "Database server not found" or "Timeout occurred while waiting for connection response". This started after upgrading to IQ 16. There are no errors in the OS's log and the network was checked and no problem were identified.
  • Application log reports:

05:45:01 Connected to server over TCPIP
05:45:32 Communication function sconn::receive code 4
05:45:32 Timeout occurred while waiting for connection response
