2546842 - Program runs for a long time in SUM upgrade, job is on HOLD for RFC response

Symptom

  • During Software Update Manager (SUM) upgrade, a program such as RSCPFROM_CRR is running for a long time. Checking transaction SM50, you see that the job is on HOLD for RFC response
  • Profile parameter rdisp/rfc_min_wait_dia_wp is set to a number >= total dialog (DIA) work processes (wp) in the system
    • To find out total DIA wp in your system, go to SM50 and look for total wp under "Dialog" header
