Symptom
You are exporting data in a table or chart in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and the following error message occurs:
- Export failed: The data cannot be displayed because the query returned too many records. Please try filtering your data.
Environment
- SAP Analytics Cloud
Cause
The number of cells exported exceeds the limitations of SAP Analytics Cloud documented in the online help: Exporting Data as a CSV File.
Please review the restriction note.
Resolution
- Add filters to reduce the number of cells exported.
- Exceeding the maximum number of records is easier than expected when exporting a large number of columns since the total number of cells is calculated as the number of columns multiplied by the number of rows.
